Rotary Organised outing to "Singin' in the Rain"

On Tuesday evening the 29th.April, a total of 50 guests of the Rotary Club of Keswick enjoyed a superb performance at the theatre – the opening night of KAOS’s production of ‘Singin’ in the Rain’. A most enjoyable evening was experienced by all who attended the spectacular performance.

In addition to the regular annual Rotary treat for a selection of 20 senior members of the Keswick and District community, this year 30 members of the Keswick Drop-In Centre were also invited to the KAOS production of at the Theatre by the Lake.

The members from the Drop-In Centre have benefited from funding from the annual Rotary Tree of Light and with their transport to and from the theatre most generously provided by Davies Taxis.

David Robinson a partner and advertising manager of Davies Taxis and 6 drivers offered to provide free transport for the members of the Drop-In Centre, picking them up from their homes and returning them home again after the evening at the Theatre.
This generous offer has made the logistics of transporting so many individuals a reality.

Originally formed by Tom Davies with one car and a phone, the firm has grown over the years to a fleet of 16 vehicles, consisting of 4, 6, and 8 seated vehicles, has been providing a service to the local community and visitors for over 48 years,
