Charities supported by The Lake District Tree of Light

The money raised from The Lake District Tree of Light will go to Charities and local organisations that Keswick Rotary Club supports.

The main Charities to benefit from this year's Tree will be The Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance and West Cumbria Young Carers

Donations may also be made to other local organisations in the Keswick area.

Some of the organisations that we have supported are:-

  • Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance
  • Calvert Trust (Activity Centre for the Disabled).
  • Local branch of St John's Ambulance.
  • Keswick First Responders.
  • Keswick Mountain Rescue Service.
  • Fitz & Hope Parks to repair damage following the floods of Nov. 2009.

  • Keswick Flood Action Group.
  • Keswick Junior Football Club.
  • Keswick Junior Cricket Club.
  • New Playground in Fitz Park.
  • Keswick Scouts, Cubs, Girl Guides and Brownies.
  • Keswick School by supporting Young Chef Competition, Young Poet Competition, Young Musician Competition, Technology Tournament,
  • RYPEN (Rotary Youth Leadership Course).
